ECHS MEMBERSHIP
ECHS is a compulsory scheme for new retirees. It was optional for pre-01 Apr 2003 retirees. The scheme was kept open for five years, viz, till 31 Mar 2008 to enable desirous pre-01 Apr 2003 to take membership. The scheme was to close for pre-01 Apr 2003 wef 01 Apr 2008, however as a welfare measure, the decision to close the scheme was deferred. It has now been decided that the scheme will be closed for pre-01 Apr 2003 from 01 Dec 2011. |
