History of Karnataka Branch

On the occasion of annual day on 15 Sep each year, to remember the supreme sacrifice of all service personnel who laid down their lives in the defence of our nation a Wreath Laying Ceremony is organized. Since 2002, the ceremony is held at War Memorial at HQ TC with support from Training Command Unit. Greetings are sent to the members and widow associate members on their birthdays. The gesture has been appreciated by all members and some members reciprocated by sending donation on the occasion. Every year, a get-to-gather of all members and their families is held after the Annual General Body Meeting on the first Sunday of February. A function is organized every year to honour our members who attain 80 years of age. The function is well appreciated and attended.

An Information Room has been opened in 1991 where all publications useful to retired personnel are made available for use of our members

A Placement Cell was set up in 2002 at our Branch. The Cell is giving yeoman service and has achieved good results.
